The Purpose of the Project......

Beatboxing is a way of manipulating sounds of your voice to emulate a drum beat, and or melody and other transitions of music. Beatboxing is something more than just providing the M.C. with the beat than he needs to freestlye, sometimes it can be used as a form of poetry in itself...in a sense. The purpose of the project is to experiment and combine something that is considered as a classical or anicent piece of literature, and beatbox to it.......to get a reaction. Think of it as beatboxing instead of playing bongo drums to a strange poem at a poetry slam. Kinda like this scenario....

As of right now, I'm in my comfort zone (I was in my dorm room in these photos), but by the end of my project, I will make an attempt to beatbox with complete strangers whether it deals with a waitress talking about today's special, or a telephone call from a telemarketer (I can't wait for that), or hopefully creating a beatbox circle (kinda like a drum circle). If anybody has any suggestions, let me know. Let the project commence........
