Boom-da-Kat - my short animated film

This is a link to an animated short film I've been working on. It's in the pre-production phase so it has not been animated yet. The new blog features character sketches, script, art direction, Animatic, Story Synopsis, etc. Hopefully if I get enough help and enough time out of class, I can get this done by the this time next March/April. I Hope you guys enjoy it and feel free to send constructive feedback on what I need to fix or what I should add to the project.

I'm working on an Animated Short

It's been a while since I posted an entry on this site. Well currently I'm a 1st year graduate student at the Savannah College of Art and Design working in Animation. I haven't completely abandoned the Classical Beatbox Project, it is still active and I am not done creating new ideas for this site. I am working on how to present some of the ideas I've developed through this experiment to a new and different genre and artform. Over the past 9 weeks of my Winter Quarter here at SCAD, I've been developing a concept for an Animated Short using beatbox as the center of interest. It is based off of the Beatbox Conversation video idea of literally creating a spoken language through the various techniques of beatbox.

Over the next week I will be creating a new blog that features the working title of the Animation as well as the Story, Script, StoryBoard, Animatic, Art Direction, Pitch Poster (Teaser Poster), Intentions of the project, Character Ideas and Profiles, and hopefully everything else in-between.

All of this is the pre-production phase of the Short, the actual Animation process won't start until sometime in April and probably won't be finished until the end of the Summer.
